Training for Schools

Whatever your goals, I can create a bespoke package of training. I can also offer ongoing to support with embedding this training into practice within your organisation.

As well as relevant theory and information, all training packages will include ways to apply the learning back in the classroom. This ensures it isn’t another CPD session where the learning is lost! Content is evidence-based and can be tailored to your setting. All trainings promote the mental health of both pupils and staff as part of a whole setting approach to mental health.

I offer training both online or in-person, and these can be delivered via individual sessions from 90 minutes to a full day, or a package of sessions from 60 minutes delivered over a period of time.

I also offer accredited training through Mental Health First Aid England’s products, Youth Connect 5 and YC5 in Transit training (for parents)   and Skills for Life Curriculum Training. To discuss your training needs, or the learning outcomes you’d like to achieve for your staff, please get in touch for an informal discussion.

Training Session Topics

Session topics can include, but are not limited to:

Training for Schools

I can also provide input into assemblies, whole school events, workshops or lessons to support you in promoting positive mental health for your students, including exam preparation (Ideally, I recommend any work to support with exam stress takes place in the Autumn term so that students have time to embed the learning before the exam period).

If there is another topic you have in mind, please get in touch to see if this is something which could be offered.

Hear from Clients...

“Supportive and informative training from Chrissy. She’s been supporting me in my role as senior mental health lead for the past year, with anything from weekly information and advice bulletins to more personalised support such as the training course she delivered to all of my teachers.

My team were experiencing needing to support multiple children with bereavement and loss and felt out of their depth. Following Chrissy’s visit and informative practical training staff are feeling empowered and prepared should they come across this situation again. Thank you Chrissy for providing us all with the confidence to tackle supporting children through such a tricky part of life!”
